Ken Watanabe
The Lovely and Talented Ken Watanabe has finally started to foray into
English-language movies, first with The Last Samurai, in
which, alas, he played a Good Guy, and in Batman Begins as the
Villainous Ra's Al Ghul. Or something. I think. It's a little
confusing, actually. Anyway, Mr. Watanabe spends much of his screen
time (too little actually, but isn't that always the way with Our
Favorite Villains) prowling around the Ninja Training InstituteTM
and watching his minions beating up on Fellow Hot Bad Guy Christian
Bale. An amusing pastime for any villain, to be sure.
Alas, Mr. Watanabe meets a crushing end after hardly any time at all. Was he the Real Ra's Al Ghul? Was it all just a ruse? Did someone go out looking for a good-looking villain with a questionable mustache? Perhaps we will never know, but all the fangirls in the audience were left in no doubt that Ken Watanabe was one Damn Hot Bad Guy. We look forward to his future Villainous Turns with bated breath.

loses a point for Dubious Facial Hair

seems dedicated to the Cause, but we hardly knew him

despite a pretty girly outfitShockingly, there are no fansites devoted to Mr. Watanabe... at least in English. If you start one, please let us know!
