Another Vampire has joined the ranks of the Hot Bad Guys, this time in the lovely personage of Marc Warren. Although perhaps best known as Danny Blue, a tragically honest con man in Hustle, Mr. Warren donned the threads of Dracula in the eponymous TV movie. Liberties were definitely taken with the script, but the character of the Evil Count is nonetheless compelling and Hot As Hell.
We all know the story, so I won’t bore you with the details, but Marc Warren could definitely pull off the evil intensity of Dracula and he looks fantastic in the period costumes. My major disappointments? That his hair was dyed black and that he didn’t get NEARLY enough screen time. And those long fingernails. Sweetie. It’s called a manicure. Please. I beg you. Look into it.
Over all, though, he’s definitely one vampire for whom I might be convinced to lay off the garlic.
