Divorcing Jack

An Incredibly Dark Comedy, Divorcing Jack stars David Thewlis, Original Hot Bad Guy Jason Isaacs, and The Guy Who Plays Captain Pellew in a tale of an alcoholic writer in Ireland who gets mixed up with the Wrong People. Okay, here's the short story: David Thewlis cheats on his wife (in the world's Most Awkward Sex Scene Ever), accepts a tape that he thinks is classical music, gets followed by gangsters trying to get it, and wackiness ensues. Oh, and he commits an accidental murder, so he's also on the run from the coppers.

Luckily for us, Jason Isaacs is one of the gangsters and he's wicked evil. Torture involving a complicated pulley system is not for the faint of heart, but Mr. Isaacs pulls it off masterfully. And I've always had a soft spot for a Sophisticated and Suave Villain. He alone makes the movie worth watching.

Quality of the Hot Guys: Jason Isaacs looks Very Fine Indeed
Quality of the Bad Guys: he's also Very Evil Indeed
Quality of the Other Stuff: all kinds of crazy leaps of faith
