Bridget Jones's Diary

Based on the popular book by Helen Fielding of the same name, Bridget Jones's Diary stars Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones, a singleton in her early 30's with a meaningless job and perpetual man trouble. Truly, a character to whom so many of us can relate. Anyway, unlike the rest of us, she has Hot Bad Guys Colin Firth and Hugh Grant both interested in her. Wackiness involving a Playboy bunny outfit, skinny Americans and chaos in a Greek restaurant ensue.

Aside from a residual feeling that it's just not fair that Bridget gets two amazingly gorgeous British men fighting over her, this is a fantastic movie. I laughed! I cried! I chose vodka and Chaka Khan! While the book isn't quite as good as the movie, it does have a couple of Hot Guys as points in its favor. And all the people in the movie are just so...British. It's great and it even has a fabulous soundtrack.

Quality of the Hot Guys: Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, but not enough of either of them
Quality of the Bad Guys: skeevy guys, yes. Bad guys, not really.
Quality of the Other Stuff: funny and fantastic
