WARNING: major spoilers about Batman Begins!

Well, Mr. Neeson, it's about time you played a Bad Guy. He finally answered thousands of fan girl prayers by portraying the Actual Ra's Al Ghul in Batman Begins. Of course, he started off as the Mild-Mannered Henri Ducard, the guy who trained Bruce Wayne in ninja arts. (Hang on, an Irish Guy playing a French Ninja Master? Never mind, I'll just go with it.) Thusly, we were lulled into thinking that Mr. Neeson was playing Yet Another Noble Character. After all, how could he be a Bad Guy if Batman saved his life? That would be a twist, wouldn't it?

We should have suspected something was up the very first time we saw him with that Evil Spock Goatee. The Bad Guys always have facial hair, right? So, it turns out that Our Beloved Liam Neeson was actually the leader of the League of Shadows, a, er, shadowy group that had roots going back centuries and which took matters into its own hands when it judged a society had become too corrupt. Lovely. Nothing like the Old Classics to get a guy onto one of Our Lists. Tragically, Mr. Al Ghul passed into the Evil Beyond at the end of the movie, but still, the havoc he wreaked in Gotham continues long after his departure. The Narrows will never be the same and neither will we.

Hotness: pretty solid, despite questionable facial hair
Badness: crazy and bent on city-wide destruction but also trained a Paragon of Good
Guyness: he certainly kicked Bruce Wayne's ass all around that iced over pond
