Bad Guy list with his portrayal of Otto Octavius, later Doctor "Doc
Ock" Octopus, in Spiderman
2. You really have to love a man with
goals. Of course, in this case, Dr. Octavius' goal seemed to be
recreating the equipment and experiment that failed in the first
place and may, if he were able to go through with it, destroy most
of New York City in the process. Yes, a man with goals indeed.
Petty things like mass destruction and astonishingly high death
tolls are minor considerations when trying to advance the bounds of
science.
It really is amazing how quickly Dr. Octavius went from ultra-super-geek-boy to Crazy Bad Supervillain. Must be the extra arms. Is that all Our Wanna Bes need? Extra limbs? Or is it the science stuff? Yeah, we definitely need more Mad Scientists on this web site. In the mean time, may all other Future Villains look up to Otto Octavius as an example par excellence. So, you're the president of your high school physics club. It doesn't mean you can't grow up into a Big Bad Villain.
