Samuel L. Jackson

One of the Coolest Guys in recent memory, Samuel L. Jackson made memorable performances as Jules in Pulp Fiction and as the title character in Shaft. Strangely, Mr. Jackson even plays Cool Good Guys well. It isn't often that an actor can do both so remarkably well, but then he is a Bad Mother... uh, sorry. Is this a PG site? Even his hair in Pulp Fiction was pretty intimidating and he certainly overshadowed John Travolta in all of the scenes they shared. And he quoted the Bible before he unleashed hell. Bitchin.

Mr. Jackson's role as John Shaft was also very well done. He was a Vigilante Cop With An Attitude and An Excellent Fashion Sense. And that must have been a tough directing job. "Say, Samuel. Could you be Cool here? Perfect! Cut!"
