We all fell in love with Mr. Elwes as

Westley,
you know... Farmboy... the Man in Black... The Dread Pirate Roberts.
Sadly, he was really a good guy all along. But we suspected nonetheless
that he'd make an excellent Hot Bad Guy. Clearly he already had the Hot down.
After a disturbing turn as a smug jerk with a chafing dish in Hot Shots!, Mr. Elwes finally came to grips with his calling as a Bad Guy in Kiss the Girls. As Detective Nick Ruskin, he was in a perfect position to observe his quarry. And in the great tradition of thrillers, just when you think you know who the bad guy is, it turns out to have been the "good guy" all along. Always good to build up the trust and then scare the piss out of them! Some might say that Mr. Elwes was a little too slick in this role, they're not Hot Bad Goddesses, so they don't so much count! Another bonus: he got to work with fellow Hot Bad Guy Tony Goldwyn! It's always nice to see our Guys playing well with others. As long as they don't play too well...
